Host a party in ANY house\u00a0\u2013 available from 16 February<\/h3>\n

The team knows how much you love hosting and attending parties with friends! It\u2019s time to show off all your building and interior decorating skills you\u2019ve worked so hard on in the other locations your Sims live in! From the 16th of February you will be able to host a party in any of the house lots you own because there is no longer a designated house.<\/p>\n

To\u00a0host a party and experience it in any lot,\u00a0your Sim must be\u00a0moved into the\u00a0home\u00a0lot\u00a0that\u00a0you want to host the party at,\u00a0and:<\/p>\n

1. Press\u00a0the arrow button on the\u00a0right-hand\u00a0side of the screen.
\n2. Press the\u00a0Parties balloon icon and find\u00a0\u201cHost Weekly\u00a0Party\u00a0Here\u201d\u00a0button.
\n3. Select your theme!<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t\u00a0forget to\u00a0add party\u00a0decorations that match your theme\u00a0for\u00a0more\u00a0group rewards!\u00a0Group reward progress also stacks accumulatively now, instead of individually.\u00a0At all other times,\u00a0when you\u2019re\u00a0visiting\u00a0<\/em>other players\u2019 neighborhoods, you\u2019ll only be able to see their first main house. Swap between any of your Sims in your neighborhood!<\/h3>\n

Have you reached your 4 playable Sims\u00a0cap, or\u00a0would\u00a0just\u00a0love to play as any\u00a0passive\u00a0Sim that lives in your neighborhood?\u00a0Now\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0possible for you to play\u00a0as any adult Sim, by\u00a0swapping\u00a0between the \u2018playable\u2019 and \u2018passive\u2019 state\u00a0freely anytime\u00a0without having to retire a Sim to free up more Sims slots!<\/p>\n

Making a Sim \u2019passive\u2019 frees up one Sim slot, so you can bring someone else in!\u00a0There is no cost to\u00a0make a Sim active again,\u00a0but\u00a0they will start with no energy (so\u00a0they might need a tasty cupcake to help them out!)<\/p>\n

Find your family portrait by either clicking on the Lot Adress in the Neighborhood\u00a0view, or\u00a0click on\u00a0you\u2019re the framed version that is hopefully\u00a0hanging up somewhere special in your home\u00a0(you can find it in\u00a0the Build\/Buy menu under\u00a0\u2018Decorations\u2019 tab and\u00a0\u2018Wall Decorations\u2019). From here, click on a Sim and select\u00a0either \u2018make passive\u2019 or\u00a0\u2018make\u00a0playable\u2019.\u00a0That\u2019s it!\u00a0In the Family Portrait,\u00a0you can\u00a0now also see which relationships, stories, careers and hobbies each Sim has.<\/p>\n

A few extra notes to add:<\/h3>\n

1. A Sim can\u2019t be made passive if they\u2019re currently completing an event.
\n2. Children cannot be made playable, but they can be,\u00a0once they become an adult!
\n3. Sims with a blue\u00a0coloured\u00a0plumbob cannot be made playable.
\n4. A Sim that has previously been retired cannot be made playable.
\n5. There hasn’t been\u00a0made any changes to\u00a0the usual way\u00a0you\u2019d\u00a0retire\u00a0a\u00a0Sim!\u00a0The retirement\u00a0option\u00a0will still\u00a0appear once your Sim gets all traits,\u00a0but\u00a0you can choose to ignore the pop up and delay retirement.<\/p>\n
